Liliana Guimarães

Associate, Communications

Liliana Guimarães holds a double B.A. in Law and Public Administration from Fundação Getulio Vargas, and is a registered Lawyer under the São Paulo Bar Association (OAB-SP). With over seven years of experience in Brazil’s nonprofit sector, she specialized in project and grants management, social impact evaluation, and public policy analysis. As Communications Associate at Synergos, she’s responsible for telling stories about the organization’s worldwide network of changemakers, as well as supporting events catered to philanthropists and social impact entrepreneurs.

Prior to Synergos, at the British Council she managed the UK-Brazil Skills for Prosperity program, an £8 million initiative from the British government to promote English language teaching in Brazilian public schools with a focus on gender and social inclusion. There, she coordinated workshops for English language teachers, guidelines on racial literacy, and webinars for the wider educational community.

She began her career at IDIS - Institute for the Development of Social Investment, a pioneering Brazilian philanthropic organization, where she managed several impact assessment studies in the cultural and educational fields using the Social Return on Investment framework. She also managed grants and facilitated workshops, interviews, and focus groups with implementers and beneficiaries of various social impact initiatives.

Liliana is passionate about language, visual arts, music, design, nature, and dogs. She wants to contribute to a world where art is a tool for freedom, and where trust is the foundation of human relations.
