Ilir Lita

Philanthropy Partner

Ilir Lita brings nearly two decades of experience across public, private, and philanthropic sectors to his role as a Philanthropy Partner at Synergos.

Prior to Synergos, he was the Director of Programs at the Mayor’s Fund for Los Angeles where he worked with civic leaders to address the city’s most pressing issue areas, including youth employment, sustainability, housing, and social justice. In addition, he partnered with philanthropic leaders to raise $74 million to support hundreds of thousands of vulnerable Angelenos through the L.A. Emergency COVID-19 Crisis Fund, which provided vital assistance to more than a quarter million constituents in need of healthcare, food, and social services. Prior to the Mayor’s Fund, he was the Director of Client Engagement at The Artemis Agency, a philanthropic advisory firm, where he worked with clients including individuals, corporations, and nonprofits to help create long-term, comprehensive strategies for charitable giving. Ilir’s prior experience also includes creative development at DreamWorks Pictures and Warner Bros. Entertainment, as well as product development at Google.

He currently serves on the Steering Committee for the L.A. chapter of Emerging Practitioners in Philanthropy and has served on the Board of Governors for the University of Southern California and as Co-Chair of Avant-Garde at Los Angeles County Museum of Art.

Ilir earned a Bachelor’s in Communication and Media Studies and a Master’s in Professional Writing from the University of Southern California. As the son of refugees and a first-generation college student, he is committed to the equitable development of communities locally and globally.
