Rising Leaders

What makes Rising Leaders different isn't what we teach. It's who you meet – and who you become in the process.

Rising Leaders is a trusted global community for next-generation leaders in philanthropy, entrepreneurship, and social impact, and part of Synergos' Global Philanthropists Circle (GPC).

You're at a moment that matters.

Maybe you're stepping into new responsibility and wondering what kind of leader you want to be. Maybe you've been doing this work for a while and you're looking for deeper relationships and a more connected community. Maybe you're wrestling with questions about impact, identity, and how your work connects to the change you actually want to see in the world.

Whatever brought you here: Rising Leaders was built for exactly this moment.

A community that meets you where you are.

GPC members in conversation

Rising Leaders brings together next-generation members from across the philanthropic and social impact world – people at different stages and from different backgrounds, united by curiosity, commitment, and a belief that lasting change requires more than resources alone.

It's a high-trust space where you don't have to explain why the questions you're asking matter. Because everyone in the room is asking their own version of them.

"The GPC learning journeys and retreats created a safe space that opened my mind and were fundamental in finding my purpose."

– Rubens Aguiar, São Paulo

How Rising Leaders works

Rising Leaders offers six ways to engage. Your path is your own, and we're here to help you find it. Most members move across three broad areas of experience:

Discover yourself

Inner Work Retreats

Leadership begins on the inside. Rising Leaders creates space to reflect on identity, purpose, values, and vision – not as an abstract exercise, but as the foundation for leading effectively in an interconnected world.

  • Onboarding Assessment
  • Inner Work Retreats

Connect with others

GPC Gatherings

The relationships that make lasting change possible are rarely built at conferences. Rising Leaders creates the conditions for trust that take most networks years to develop, and gives you a global community to sustain them.

  • Curated Connections
  • GPC Gatherings
  • Collaborative Communities

Lead for impact

Learning Journeys

Understanding a challenge from the inside changes what you're able to do about it. Rising Leaders takes you into the communities, contexts, and conversations that expand your perspective and your capacity to act.

  • Learning Journeys

What shifts over time

By the time you've moved through these experiences, something will have shifted not just in what you know, but in how you lead.

Rising Leaders strengthens the capacities that lasting impact requires:

  • Self-awareness and a clear sense of purpose
  • Deep, trust-based relationships across difference
  • The ability to see complexity and act within it
  • Fluency in the diverse perspectives that shape our world
  • The art of connecting people, ideas, and resources across boundaries

Part of something larger

Global Philanthropists Circle gathering

Rising Leaders is part of the Global Philanthropists Circle (GPC), a global community of philanthropic families and individuals committed to addressing complex challenges through trust-building, collaboration, and systems change. Founded in 2001 by Peggy Dulany and her late father David Rockefeller Sr., GPC is part of the broader Synergos network and reflects its values of equity, inclusion, and collective impact.

What distinguishes GPC isn't the size of its members' giving, but the quality of the relationships they build, and the work those relationships make possible.

Full GPC family membership is available at $25,000/year. Rising Leaders membership is an entry point into this community at $10,000/year.

Note: Learning journey and retreat travel expenses are not included in membership.
