Chong-Lim Lee, Director, Programs Systems & Knowledge joined Synergos in June 2005.
She has worked with the Sustainable Development department at Aguas Argentinas, the privatized water and sanitation service provider for the Greater Buenos Aires area. This served as the basis of her graduate thesis, which evaluated the company's approach of using community development efforts -- in partnership with local community groups and municipalities -- to expand service to low-income communities. Her research focused on the company's project in Ejercito de los Andes, a community of over 30,000 residents. She joins Synergos from the New School University, where she was Program Manager of the Journal Donation Project. In this role, she worked with libraries, foundations and publishers to send over 4,000 professional and scholarly journal subscriptions a year to academic libraries throughout the former Soviet Union, Africa, and Asia. She has also spent several years with the Council on Foreign Relations in a variety of capacities in their Executive Office. She received her BA from the Johns Hopkins University and MS from the New School University.
