Carla Roberts is President and CEO of the Fremont Area Community Foundation. She was previously Vice-President of Affiliates for the Arizona Community Foundation (ACF). Prior to joining ACF, she was the Executive Director of Atlatl, the National Service Organization for Native American Arts. In this capacity, she provided training and technical assistance services to indigenous cultural organizations nationally and internationally, including Mexico and Australia.
She has served on the International Committee of the Council on Foundations. As a 2003 Transatlantic Community Foundation Fellow, she was in residence at the Community Foundation of Bardejov in Slovakia.
Ms. Roberts draws upon several years of nonprofit management experience to provide services, such as board development, endowment campaigns, strategic grant-making and long range planning for each affiliate community. She is a published author and public speaker, as well as a qualified trainer in Technology of Participation methodologies for group facilitation and consensus building. She is also trained in fundraising with an emphasis on planned giving.
Ms. Roberts holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in studio art from the University of Alaska in Fairbanks and a Master of Fine Arts degree in cultural resources management from the University of Iowa in Iowa City.
