End Child Malnutrition in Ethiopia by 2030

Synergos staffmember in Ethiopia

Ethiopia has one of the fastest-growing economies in the world, but malnutrition threatens this growth. The national stunting rate for children is 40%. And the human and economic cost of stunting is high.

Last year, our government introduced the Seqota Declaration ’ a commitment, signed by eleven Ministries to end malnutrition by 2030.

A strong partnership is needed for this vision to become a reality. This is where Synergos comes in. We will ensure the ministries work together collaboratively to meet this deadline. We will help build Community Labs in high-need districts to test nutrition programs and scale best practices.

Synergos will bring together a group of experts in change management, nutrition, and outcomes monitoring. Along the way, we will monitor changes in stunting to measure our progress.

Co-creating to reach an ambitious government goal is not the road most taken. But it is the path of greatest promise for the next generation of Ethiopians.
