Patti Orozco is Manager, Programs at Synergos. She joined the organization in July 2013. She supports grant, contract, and budget management for Synergos’ Partnerships programs and its field-based projects.
Patti brings years of research and programmatic support experience in the global health and international development sectors. Prior to Synergos, she worked with VillageReach, a global health nonprofit strengthening health systems in the developing world. She leveraged her on-the-ground experience as a community health Peace Corps volunteer in Mozambique. Patti conducted research, data analysis, and communications work for VillageReach’s Mozambique programs, most notably its vaccine supply chain strengthening project in partnership with the Ministry of Health, reaching 405 health centers across the country. Patti also worked with the Evans Policy Analysis Research Group to produce background briefs to meet the research and policy analysis needs of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s Agricultural Development Group. As a Peace Corps volunteer, Patti helped build the capacity of a community-based organization providing care to people living with HIV/AIDS, orphans and vulnerable children, and also served as interim district Monitoring and Evaluation Officer for a $47.6 million USAID project.
Patti holds a BA in Sociology from Columbia University and an MPA from the University of Washington’s Evans School of Public Affairs. She speaks English, Portuguese and Spanish.
