Achievements in Mexico

Students at a school in Irapuato, Mexico, whose health and education benefit from a school meals program supported by government, business and parents' groups and the Bajio Foundation.
In Mexico, Synergos strives to strengthen social justice philanthropy, promote greater community participation in development programs, and provide capacity-building services to the NGO sector. We conduct our work in cooperation with several prominent Mexican philanthropic families in the Global Philanthropists Circle, with our Senior Fellows, and with other local partners.
Synergos has a history of more than 20 years of relationships and accomplishments in Mexico. A recent example was our helping establish the US-Mexico Border Philanthropy Partnership, a crossborder, bi-national collaboration of national and regional funders with 21 border community foundations. The partnership is now an independent, self-sustaining entity. (Read more about Synergos’ role in that partnership.)
Another achievement was helping strengthen the social justice philanthropy of the Vamos Foundation, which is now known as Fundación Rostros y Voces). (Read more about Synergos’ work with that foundation.)
