Marcos Kisil
Marcos Kisil currently serves as President of the IDIS - Instituto para o Desenvolvimento do Investimento Sustentável (Institute for the Development of Social Investment), a not-for-profit organization based in Brazil, that promotes private social investment as a means to develop a more just and sustainable society.
Dr. Kisil has served as a consultant to the Pan American Health Organization from 1976 to 1984 when he became Director for Latin American and Caribbean Programs at the W.K. Kellogg Foundation in Michigan. Dr. Kisil left Kellogg in 1999 to preside over IDIS. He is a also Professor at the School of Public Health at the University of São Paulo.
Dr. Kisil also serves as a member of numerous boards, such as Getulio Vargas Foundation, School of Business Administration; Banco do Brasil Foundation; Instituto Ayrton Senna and GIFE -Group of Institutes, Foundations and Enterprises among others. He is also a member of the WINGS-Community Philanthropy Advisory Committee, and a member of INSP - International Network for Strategic Philanthropy. In addition, Dr. Kisil has authored or co-authored 12 books and over 100 articles. He has served on the editorial board of six journals including Alliance.
In addition to receiving an MD from the University of São Paulo, Dr. Kisil has also been awarded a Doctorate in public administration from George Washington University in Washington, DC.
