Karen Yarza Seiber
Karen Yarza Seiber is the Executive Director of the Fundacion Comunitaria de la Frontera Norte (FCFNAC), and serves as an external consultant to the Fundacion Rosario Campos de Fernandez, which focuses on education in several Mexican states. Through her work with both foundations, Ms. Yarza has played a major role in conceiving, designing, and managing initiatives.
Ms. Yarza has experience at many non-profit organizations in her community. She currently sits on the board of Centro Humano de Liderazgo, A.C., Programa de Educación en Valores, A.C., Patronato Amigos del Museo de la Ex Aduana, A.C., and Desarrollo Empresarial Mexicano, A.C. She also participates actively in different networks, including the Border Philanthropy Partnership and Fundaciones Comunitarias (Mexico ’s network of community foundations). She has a B.A. in international commerce from the Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores in Monterrey.
The Fundacion Comunitaria de la Frontera Norte, A.C (FCFNAC) was founded in 2002 by the philanthropic leaders of Cuidad Juarez, with a commitment to promote the improvement of the community through the sum of resources and philanthropic actions. It has assumed a leadership role in developing a new generation of philanthropists, focusing on youth programs that promote active participation in the development of Ciudad Juarez . FCFNAC works in alliance with six nonprofits dedicated to working with youth, training each on grant-seeking and project development. It also promotes citizenship and social justice through innovative grassroots programs in partnership with local nonprofits.
