Emmah Gweshe
Emmah Gweshe is founder of CRADO, a non-profit private voluntary organization, whose objectives are to promote and to protect the rights of children in Zimbabwe through providing for children.
Before establishing CRADO, Emmah served as Executive Director and Programme Manager for the Child Rights Department of, which later became HURIDETSA. Between 1996-1998, Gwesha worked at the Council for the Welfare of Children. As National Coordinator, she was responsible for the coordination of all children's institutions in Zimbabwe. In the early part of her career, Gweshe was also a teacher and taught at various levels in schools in Zimbabwe. Her experience lies in the areas of research, awareness raising and training in human rights /child rights and related issues, advocacy both at local and at national levels and the development of training manuals and other human rights materials.
Gweshe received a Masters in International Relations, Bachelors in Political and Administrative Studies both from the University of Zimbabwe; and a post graduate diploma in Human Rights from the Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law, in LUND, Sweden. She had also received her Teachers Training from 1996-1998.
