Pallu is an experienced and effective business director with 20 years international development experience across over 40 countries, often in very challenging and fragile environments and focusing on key government and donor concerns. Her core experience lies in the reform of Government Departments and learning lessons to improve future programming and design.

An excellent communicator with proven experience of establishing and maintaining strong relationships with counterparts at all levels of government and with international donors, she has a proven ability to successfully manage international project teams in strategy consulting, public sector reform, monitoring, evaluation and learning, governance, social development and public financial management across a range of technical disciplines.

Pallu has been working with the Independent Commission for Aid Impact, scrutinizing UK overseas development assistance spending, the University of Portsmouth to build and grow their research consulting practice and is currently leading the global social impact advisory practice at Synergos, providing strategic advice to foundations, philanthropists and corporations on strategy, design, partnerships and bridging leadership.

Working to Board level, Pallu has been highly successful at developing, delivering and leading company strategy and direction, translating international development policy and market trends into company strategy, as well as responding to market demands. Pallu has significant track record of achievement across her career through building strategic partnerships, sourcing and managing high quality globally based teams and translating international development challenges into successful designs. Pallu has been the Project Director across dozens of projects in diverse international development sectors and technical areas, often providing strategic oversight and management for teams operating in challenging fragile and conflict-affected environments.

Pallu has led complex programs in governance, MEL and research and has a keen interest in learning lessons and ensuring that these drive greater impact, effectiveness and efficiency including as the Team Leader for the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning of the multi-billion Pound International Climate Fund and the multi-country DFID Research Project on Violence Against Women and Girls in South Asia as well as Project Director on numerous governance contracts globally, involving a range of technical inputs in complex and challenging environments and ensuring delivery of multi-disciplinary contracts on time and budget whilst managing expectations of a wide range of public and private sector stakeholders.
