Strengthening Bridging Organizations Program
Synergos has worked for over 15 years to build and strengthen bridging organizations around the globe, particularly community development foundations in Latin America, Southern Africa and Southeast Asia. Through these organizations, we have raised civil society capacity to overcome poverty and increase equity.

Participants in an international meeting organized on Rural Women's Day by the Foundation for Community Development in Mozambique.
Through our Strengthening Bridging Organizations Program (which formally ended in late 2007) and other programs, we played a key role in helping local groups create foundations in countries including Ecuador, Mexico, Mozambique and Zimbabwe and assisted in strengthening hundreds such institutions around the world. We also produced and shared knowledge about creating foundations and other bridging organizations; much of this material is available online through the Synergos Knowledge Base.
Today, our efforts to strengthen civil society capacity are part of our other programs, including the Senior Fellows, Global Philanthropists Circle and Partnerships programs.
