Laura Lopez is Manager, Development at Synergos, working on solicitations, proposal development, and donor reporting. She joined Synergos in March 2006 after seventeen years of program and development experience at the Trickle Up Program, a micro-enterprise development organization that targets the poorest. As its deputy director, Ms. Lopez led an international and domestic program that launched over 65,000 micro-enterprises in 60 countries, and managed institutional relations with bilateral and multilateral aid agencies. Her earlier experience at UNICEF encompasses technical writing and visits to 60 countries promoting the International Year of the Child among heads of state and national NGOs. As a diplomat posted to the Philippine Mission to the United Nations, she specialized in economic development issues.
Ms. Lopez has an MBA in International Marketing from Baruch College, and a BA in Foreign Service from Maryknoll College, Manila. She speaks French and Spanish.
