Abstract

This is a feature article from Global Giving Matters, a newsletter on best practices and innovations in individual and family philanthropy and social investment. It is produced by Synergos for members of the Global Philanthropists Circle and other readers interested interesed in global philanthropy.

This article describes efforts by industrialist and philanthropist Jin Zidell to raise money and awareness to provide safe drinking water to every person on the planet. To focus attention on the issue, Zidell's foundation is organizing the longest relay event in the history of the world -- the Blue Planet Run.
