Abstract
This presentation by Barry Smith, Synergos' Regional Director for Southern Africa, is from a seminar on NGOs and Service Delivery Partnerships. It highlights benefits that can come from mulit-sectoral partnerships among civil society organizations. Smith points out that mulit-sectoral partnerships can provide an opportunity capacity building but they are not the only alternative and civil society organizations should also do internal assesments of the options and feasibility of partnerships. He emphasizes that partnerships are not static and must be under constant review and adjustment to remain in line with original goals.
