Foundation Database for Latin America

Abstract
This database contains profiles of over 120 foundations and grantmakers operating in Latin American countries.
Program themes of organizations in the database are classified according to a scheme adapted from the International Classification of Non-Profit Organizations developed at the Comparative Nonprofit Sector Project of Johns Hopkins University.
Information is collected by Synergos, the Group of Institutes, Foundations and Private Enterprises (Brazil), the Mexican Center for Philanthropy and other partners. This database was produced with support from AVINA and is provided as a service to foundations, grantseekers and other interested parties.
Note (July 2000): This database is no longer maintained and information on specific organizations may be out-of-date. More up-to-date information may be available from an association of grantmakers in a particular country. See the listing of such associations at www.wingsweb.org.
