"When we started our family foundation two years ago, we were overwhelmed with the number of issues to be addressed: fundraising, project selection and management, alliance development.

GPC member María Eugenia Garcés and Desmond Tutu plan the Colombian restorative justice initiative in Cali, February 2005.

"While we had a number of great ideas about how to proceed, we did not want to risk starting the organization without a clear direction and plan. The strategic planning sessions with Ann truly helped us to bring focus to our goals, determine the steps necessary to bring those about and establish a long term strategy for the management and sustainability of our foundation. We are very grateful that we did not have to look far beyond the GPC and Synergos for such a valuable service. "
