About Global Giving Matters

Global Giving Matters is a newsletter on best practices and innovations in individual and family philanthropy and social investment. It is produced jointly by Synergos and the World Economic Forum (WEF) for members of the Global Philanthropists Circle (GPC) and Forum participants interested in philanthropy and social investment.

GPC member Adele Simmons, a leading advocate of global philanthropy and member of Synergos' Board of Directors, and Beth Cohen, Acting Director of the GPC, provide editorial guidance for this newsletter. Neil Carlson is features writer. Lynn Peebles was the lead writer for issues 14-30 and Myra Alperson was for issues 0-13. John Tomlinson is the copy editor and web/print producer. Global Giving Matters is a part of this. This electronic newsletter (available in print for GPC members upon request) provides the latest information on trends and best practices. Each issue contains one or two feature articles, a digest of articles or Web sites on innovative initiatives, and links to information on organizations, publications, meetings and other resources on global philanthropy and social investing.

We encourage you to send us:

  • Examples of your own philanthropy
  • Comments about our articles.
