Providing support and skills to orphans

Zeina founded The Big Family Initiative, a way for children from different orphanages in Tripoli to connect with older men and women (“big brothers” or “big sisters”), who will teach developmental, educational, and career skills to the children. The big brothers and sisters will also serve as role models for children and provide them with the individual attention and support that is lacking in an orphanage.

The aim is to offer orphans a family-like support and help them grow in a healthy environment with the right skills and ethics in hand. The program is run by staff and volunteers of The Skills for Life, a program that aims to invest in kids, help them reach their potential, and discover their passion at an early age.
