Dileepan Siva
Dileepan Siva is Senior Manager at the Synergos Institute and works on developing and implementing Synergos service offerings to global companies seeking to create sustainable business solutions in emerging markets. He advises Fortune Global 500 companies in the consumer packaged goods, extractive, financial and other industries on base of the pyramid social business strategies in sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia and several countries in Latin America.
Before joining Synergos, Dileepan worked with the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs (NDI) as Program Manager for Southern Africa including Zimbabwe for over four years. In this role, he managed programs to strengthen the democratic process in transitional countries through building the capacity of political parties and civic groups. He has also worked as an expert policy advisor on political risk to various international development and humanitarian organizations. Prior to this international experience, he served as a strategy consultant to the public and non-profit sectors for several years in the areas of education and public health governance reform at the local, state and national level in the United States.
Dileepan was selected into the nationally-competitive Coro Fellowship for Public Affairs and is currently a Truman National Security Fellow and term member of the Council on Foreign Relations. He received his Master of Public Policy degree in International Economic Policy from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor and his Bachelor of Arts degree in Development Studies from the University of California at Berkeley.
