Alissa Desmarais

Alissa Desmarais, Senior Manager, Individual Giving, joined Synergos in July of 2005 to run our yearly event, University for a Night, and the annual fundraising activities.

Most recently Ms. Desmarais served as the Director of Special Events at the nation’s largest public radio station, WNYC Radio. There she created and executed content driven events to support the donor cultivation efforts, in addition to managing their annual fundraising gala, which grew in revenues by 34% under her tenure. Her background also includes training, organizational development and human resources. In each of her positions she has specialized in building new functions or increasing the efficiency and capability of her group. Alissa has also been actively engaged in local community organizations centered on cross-cultural education and environment issues.
